Wow! Fair warning~ this is a cliffy!!! Let's see where to begin... Rayleigh, Dylan and Roman were all friends at one point in time, until Roman lands himself in jail. Ray and Dyl have moved on and live together, all while Dyl takes care of the family business. Roman is released from prision and now will be living with a woman who hates him, a cousin who doesn't trust him with the family business, and a past he'd like to forget. Ms. Hughes has created such a powerful novella with Family Tied, I just can't give spoilers. It is the first book in the series, and I am hoping she will release the next one sooner rather than later. The ending has left me saying I need the next one NOW! Hopefully, we will find out some answers that we weren't given in Family Tied as well. 5/5 Cross posting to My Reading Reality and BAPS book blog.Product details

What can I say? Annie is an amazing author and she is still new to writing, but I can already tell that her style is getting better with every book.

This book is shorter than the previous ones but equally good and also it's so much more "grown up". I like it a lot.
The Wade Family is a really weird bunch of people. They complicated and their relationships between each other are.... strained.
We have 3 main characters Dylan, Rayleigh and Roman *sigh*. ANd we have 3 different POVs also.
Rayleigh is a tough and strong girl. But she wasn't like that before. Before she was a sweet innocent girl, who after one person she thought was her friend put her through hell. After that she decided that she will never be like that. Weak and pathetic. She wanted to be strong. To make sure she will never end in the situation like that.
Dylan. I think he was supposed to be the likable character. He is responsible for his family business but also fights every single day to keep his girl next to him. Even though I feel he likes Ray, I'm not sure he loves her. Most of the times I was angry with him for his choices.
Roman *swoon*. I can't say a bad word about him as Annie has officially gave him to me ;) He is handsome and so cocky. I love it. He is a troubled character who after making some really bad choices is trying to make everything right.
I loved this book and I cannot wait for the next part!

This was great and can't wait for the next one.
Wow, Family Tied pulled me in extremely quickly! I loved how it was told in three different POV's, it made the story unique and interesting.
This book is less than 100 pages, yet it still packs quite a punch! I love Roman, I don't know why, I think he went through some dark times and is misunderstood.
Those last few pages though!!! I'll be on tenterhooks waiting for the next book!

I didn't think there would be much of a story in 68 pages but how wrong was I.
You'll love Dylan, then get frustrated with him. Rome, you'll dislike but wait till the end. He's mine, I licked him, you can't have him.
Rayleigh is strong but lost and you'll want to be her friend just to say tell him to man up.
You'll kick yourself if you don't read this now but leave it to later.
I cannot wait for the next instalment
This is a shorter book from Annie than we are used to, well part 1 of a series, but that does not mean it won't pack a mean punch & grab hold of you. It does mean keeping this review spoiler free will be more difficult for me!
The Wades are a complicated bunch, as most families are, but their issues are so far from the everyday troubles of most of us.
This story is told from 3 points of view Rayleigh her boyfriend Dylan & his cousin Roman. I for one am grateful for that, for reasons you will see when you start reading.
Rayleigh is a mix of emotions but she is still one badass that I would not like to be on the wrong side of! However, she is still someone I could picture being friends & having a laugh with. Which side is the true Rayleigh or do these duelling parts make up a Rayleigh 2.0?
Dylan has been pushed into a difficult position for his family & I want to believe it is family honour rather than choice for him, have those lines blurred? Only time will tell.
Roman made some bad choices in the name of family, he has paid the price & is now starting over. He comes face to face with the one person he least expected to still be around, can they both survive?
I really enjoyed this story & the secondary characters were fun too, I hope we get to see more of them in the rest of the series. You can bet your ass I will be patiently (ok we all know that's a lie) waiting for part 2.

GAH! This is pretty different compared to Annie's other releases, but absolutely brilliant!
This short story had me gripped from the very first page. Heck, the very first sentence. I love how it's written, the storyline, characters etc. One thing I loved the most was the alternating POV's, I definitely seemed to connect to all 3 main characters better reading from their own perspective. For a fairly short book, the author completely nailed all of their personalities and all other elements to the story. It didn't feel rushed and definitely didn't lack any detail. I know that's not easy to accomplish, particularly in a short novel, so bravo to the author!
This story dabbles in darkness, but the characters personalities help to make it light and humorous. I'm not saying there weren't parts that made my heart ache for certain people, but there were certainly chuckles too!
I hate leaving spoilers in reviews so I shan't go into detail about the storyline, you get the general plot idea from the synopsis. This book will definitely take you by surprise, it certainly did for me!
